Niles & Chaz: when hair is a family affair

Yesterday, Beverly Hills, CA hosted a hairy good situation. Marvel Cinematic Universe’s actual Luke Cage — also known as accomplished TV, film, and video game actor Mike Colter — added celebrity hair stylist and product purveyor to his curriculum vitae. The setting was Shole’ Salon on swanky Canon Drive, a hair’s breadth away from Rodeo Drive, actually. Colter/Cage was not alone in this venture; his spouse Iva and his daughters Naiella (Niles) and Chaz completed this co-founder quartet of Niles & Chaz, a new B to C personal care brand tailored to children with mixed-textured hair.

Hair serum and adjacent products adorned Shole’ Salon shelves and self-serve styling stations.

Circulating among the temporarily youthfully decorated, jam-packed corridor of beauty, the enterprising Colters wowed the multi-generational throng with food, face paint, drink (non-alcoholic and otherwise), merchandise samples, and hints of hair empire extension. Colter’s wife Dr. Iva Colter…
